| Maya Tech and Swan Tinamit organized the first annual Holiday Soccer Tournament in Nahualá, Guatemala on December 20-21, 2011. Ten teams of youth ages 8-12 competed in the event held according to futsal rules at the local elementary school. Upon conclusion of the 2-day competition, a lunch was held at the Center honoring all participants. Awards were given to the top three teams as well as individual awards for most goals achieved, best goalie, best technical skills, best defensive player and more. Congratulations to the following teams: 1st Place Champion, Municipal A; 2nd Place, Xolcaja; 3rd Place, Los Primos. Special thanks to Centerville United Soccer Association (CUSA) and Bellbrook Soccer Association (BSA) for donating soccer equipment, jerseys, socks, t-shirts for players. |
