"A World A'Fair" May 14-16, 2010
Dayton Convention Center

  MTLC once again hosts a cultural display and educational booth
portraying
food, culture and heritage of Guatemala at this fun-filled event.
This year's festival theme,
A Musical Journey Around the World, enables
us to celebrate with traditional music on hand-made, wooden marimbas,
maracas, and drums.

  Our café at the festival features Organic Fair Trade Guatemalan coffee
freshly brewed by the cup or in 1-lb. sealed bags to take home - whole
bean or ground only $10.00.
  Fair Trade Guatemalan arts and craft items such as brightly woven
clothing, purses/bags, hand-beaded jewelry, ceramics and more will be
for sale to raise funds for our mission of education.

Celebrating Peace:
As an organizational member of the Dayton International Festival, Inc.,  MTLC
participated in "A World A'Fair," Dayton Convention Center, May 15-17, 2009.
   
MTLC's cultural display featured Guatemalan and 1992 Nobel Peace Prize
Laureate, Rigoberta Menchú Tum
and celebrated her continued work for peace and
justice for all peoples of her country and internationally.







         



Presentations:
MTLC Founder Camilo Macario has made several speaking                        
engagements indcluding to the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Dayton
Chapter and Friends Through Guatemala Adoption, Dayton Chapter and Returned
Peace Corps Volunteer groups. Participants in MTLC's
educational presentations
inlcude: Sugarcreek Schools - Spanish classes, Spanish Club and 4th and 5th
graders; Xenia High School, St. Francis church youth group, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts,
and Rotary Clubs.

MTLC Board members are available for speaking engagements/slide shows
relating to our mission and Guatemalan and Maya culture. To schedule an event
